Abigail von der Lowenhohle, our Abby, came to us in December 2004. We received her from Julie and Thorsten Schaffert from the Kennel Von Der Lowenhohle. She came to our family after a year of pain from the loss of my mother. She lifted our spirits and bounced right into our hearts with her silly antics and adorable face. She was always ready for a game or just to sit quietly and untie shoe laces. She loved stealing ornaments off the tree. We learned quickly to place those higher. We were so amazed at how quickly she housebroke. She did wonderful in obedience when older and received her CGC in just two weeks of daily exercise. Her temperament exemplifies the breed. We have two children with autism and she makes them light up when she comes in the room. Playing with her has encouraged our boys speech. Abby listens and cues into when they need to hug or just someone to be with them. We hope to become active in classroom therapy very soon with children who have autism. She also adores hide and seek. At night when she wants a treat out of the refrigerator, she will nudge us then do a wild dance while mouthing as if to say, "come on get up you know what I want". So we have a lot of laughs around here with her. She is a wonderful member of our family. As most Leo people know they just come into your lives and become another family member in a very short time

ARBA Champion Abigail Von Der Lowenhohle CGC
Sire: Ch Forever Green's Indrik
Dam: Ch Berljon Santa Cruz
Abby received her ARBA championship on November 3, 2007. She has had a wonderful show career so far. We feel really blessed. We learned so much from ARBA and other Leonberger Club of America members. Julie Schaffert has been there every step of the way for us. We still have a lot to learn in the show world. Abby received Excellent in every ARBA show entered. She championed in just 9 shows! At the LCA Nationals in Ashville she placed second in Novice, our first LCA show. We look forward to more opportunities in show and obedience.
