We are Pete and Shelia Montrond.  We have three beautiful children.  They consider our Leo, Abby, a sibling.   My husband is a Army retired Longbow Apache Maintenance Test Pilot.  I am finally getting to work on finishing my degree.  We live in Williamburg, Virginia.  Pete and I first fell in love with Leonbergers in Germany.   I was a member of a Deutsche Schaferhunde Vereine in Gerbrunn.  One of the former members had a Leo.  I met them while driving to training.  I fell in love with their dog on site.  We became friends and they educated us about the breed and temperament.   Since then, we have read all we could and now have a wonderful Leo Abby. In addition, we have a wonderful German Shepherd named Caja.   All our dogs have very sweet temperaments, which is most important for us.   Leonbergers have some of the sweetest temperaments in the world, when bred correctly and socialized.   We encourage all to only buy from ethical breeders who guarantee to be there for the life and health of the puppy.
